Yup, I went to Chick-Fil-A

Yup, that's my dorky self right there, happily sporting my prize from Chick-Fil-A. I survived a 25 minute wait in the drive through line, which apparently grew tremendously after I left. Members of my parish were in line for 45 minutes before being able to place their order and then they ran out of lemonade! I have never in my life seen a fast food restaurant to busy!

I am sure everyone knows why Chick-Fil-A has been in the headlines recently, so I won't give a redundant explanation. However, I will say that everyone has the right to an opinion. Society is trying to tell us that traditional values are antiquated and no longer apply. If you go against the grain of society, then they push back against you. You even get people like the Mayor of Chicago who want to ban you from their cities.

America was founded on freedom of religion and freedom of speech. Now a days it seems we have to remind our government officials about that fact. Why is that? Have they forgotten their elementary school history classes?

So, yes, I support Chick-Fil-A!

  1. This Chicken joint you support, gives a LOT of money to an organization called
IHOP (International House of Prayer) A "Christian" organization that was and is still actively causing thousands of deaths in Uganda. It's all part of the Kill the Gays Bill, that the organizers of IHOP started and financially supported.
Chick fil a KNEW who they were supporting.

    1. I've heard this accusation before and I have yet to come across evidence that proves to my satisfaction that Chick-Fil-A gives money to organizations for the Ugandan Bill. Even Snopes.com does not mention it and even Wikipedia does not mention IHOP's involvement with the Ugandan Bill. Both Snopes and Wikipedia lean a little to the liberal side so one would think that it would be mentioned. Now, I don't solely rely on Wikipedia or Snopes as resources, I am just stating that I have not found a reliable source for this accusation. So, as far as I am aware, it is just an accusation.

Now, that being said, I am against the murdering of people who identify as homosexual. While I affirm that the homosexual act is a sin, we are all sinners and nothing justifies the death penalty. I cannot support someone's decision to live an active homosexual lifestyle, but I cannot stop stop them either. God gave us free will to turn away from Him as we choose, and I have my own sins that I struggle with.

I have written against using violence against homosexuals and people who support homosexuality. One cannot be a Christian and advocate for violence at the same time, it is contradictory theology.

Thank you for the civil comment.
