It probably does...but if you're really hankering for a steak after a long stressful week but you trade it for lobster instead, that could be a small sacrifice. Saint Therese was a big proponent of small sacrifices. However, if lobster is just as good as steak in your opinion, then it probably isn't a sacrifice. I started my own Catholic blog just recently, and am interested in finding other bloggers to share with. Your article is very good, thoughtful...and I can see by this and other ones I just read that you and I share a lot of opinions. My most recent post has a lot in common with your piece. I'd like to put a link to your blog on my sidebar and begin to share with you. OK with you?

My blog is called Journey of a 21st Century Catholic, and I hope you will come visit. https://www.catholicbrainwork.blogspot.com.ClassicBeckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03591715859057540467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2130433117981469549.post-85079805899344956962012-11-25T10:42:00.949-05:002012-11-25T10:42:00.949-05:00Canon law has only one n in the middle ( because f... Canon law has only one n in the middle ( because few will tell you in this world).
I give up something or do extra each Friday for decades without fail ( doing extra causes you to give up tv e.g.) The problem with giving up meat or any food abstinence is that you are within your rights to still have things you like. So you give up steak and have stuffed trout with a side of panseared scallops. Or you have a big plate of pasta with mushroom sauce.
I'd like to see rather: no tv or gadgets on Friday so that people will
contemplate on God in some manner.bill bannonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09737277581167437670noreply@blogger.com
